One of DeLeon’s favorite stories of his childhood is when he and his brothers went to an unsuspecting pool party at Willows High School during the night. One night, a couple of rambunctious teenagers broke into the pool area, and told DeLeon and his brothers about it. As a result, it turned out to be a random gathering of teenage kids in the pool area. Back then they didn’t have lights inside the pool, so when the local police got wind of what was happening, they came to shut down the party. However, even though the police apprehended and arrested mostly everyone there, DeLeon and his brothers hid in the corners of the pool.

They where able to go undetected because they held their breaths underwater for a period of time while the police sweep the area with their flashlight. They’d come up for air when the cost was clear. They continued doing this until the police thought they’d arrested everyone and eventually stopped looking. DeLeon and his brothers barely escaped getting caught by the authorities that night, and they also avoided getting in trouble by their parents.
