Hanging Out At K Street Mall With DeLeon

During his leisure time, DeLeon loved hanging out at K Street Mall because that’s were he’d meet up with his friends and with patrons that rode his buses. He’d often run into someone he knew at K Street Mall and talk for hours about the latest gossip, fashion, and popular catch phrases (slang).

DeLeon always had a catch phrase that he learned and couldn’t wait to use it in a casual conversation with someone. Some of the popular catch phrases he’d say were “that’s too much chillie on the cheese dog,” or “I ain’t mad at cha folks.” However, his most famous catch phrase of all time was: “And Let That Be The Reason!”

Whether he was learning new catch phrases, or observing all the people walking by, or singing a song request for someone, the mall was his hub. He hung out at K Street Mall so much that his comrades dubbed him “Mayor of K Street.”
